Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries following an intrusion at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, where he lives with Kareena Kapoor. The actor is currently receiving emergency surgical treatment.
Actor Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries following an intrusion at his residence in Bandra (West) by an assailant who reportedly stabbed him. This incident took place at approximately 2:30 am on Thursday while the actor was asleep with other family members present in the house.
The police reported that the intruder escaped the scene after the residents were alerted, and efforts are underway to locate him. The Bandra police are in the process of filing a First Information Report (FIR), and multiple police teams have been assembled to apprehend the suspect.
What Police Said
A senior IPS officer has verified the occurrence, stating that Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. The specifics regarding whether he was stabbed or injured during the altercation with the robber remain unclear. An investigation is currently underway, and the Mumbai crime branch is also pursuing a concurrent inquiry into the matter.
Saif Ali Khan Injury
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, stated that Saif was assaulted by an unknown individual at his residence. He was admitted to Lilavati at 3:30 AM. The patient has sustained six injuries, two of which are more severe, with one injury located near his spine. A surgical procedure is currently underway, being performed by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Leena Jain, and Anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. The full extent of the injuries will be assessed and communicated only after the completion of the surgery.
Dr. Uttamani also indicated that there is an additional injury on Saif’s neck, which is currently under assessment. He mentioned that the surgical procedure commenced at 5:30 AM and is still ongoing.
A physician at Leelavati Hospital, who requested to remain unnamed, informed HT that a fragment of a knife was discovered within the body, and the medical team is continuing to evaluate the extent of the injuries. Nevertheless, the actor is capable of moving his limbs, suggesting that his spinal condition is stable.
Saif’s family is present at the hospital. Kareena and Saif, who have been married since 2012, reside in the Satguru Sharan building located in Bandra West, Mumbai. Their two sons, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4), also live with them.
